Aston
Villa continued their pre-season campaign with friendly encounters
against Kidderminster Harriers and Telford on the same day yesterday,
with two different sets of players lining up. Villa won the clash
against Kidderminster 3-0 and managed a similarly impressive 4-0 victory
over Telford.
The
dominant victories would surely have pleased manager Steve Bruce but as a
huge blow, two of his first team players in Micah Richards and Albert
Adomah picked up knocks during the encounters.
As reported by the Birmingham Mail, Richards had to be forced off in the 67th minute of the game against Kidderminster after picking up an apparent knee injury, while Adomah hobbled off the pitch on the 27th minute in the clash with Telford.
The
extent of the injuries suffered by the duo is not known as of yet but
Villa will surely be hopeful that the two stars are not ruled out for
too long.
