PREREQUISITES FOR BECOMING LIKE JESUS 1
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls." Matt. 11:28,29
We have seen it for some days now that the focus of God in bringing salvation to man is to get man conformed to the very image of Christ, for then shall man be fully useful to Him in achieving divine agenda for the earth.
Of the criteria, the first is coming to Jesus.
No man can have access to the divine nature except he/she comes to the Saviour. It is at salvation that the power to become God's children is imparted (John 1:12). It is at salvation that the being of a man is changed from the corrupt, deprived and dead being inherited from Adam to God's being/nature; and man becomes once again a living being (Gen.2:7 ISV) for salvation is the product of the breathe/Spirit of God coming again into man.
Do you have a specific day you took the deliberate, conscious
and wilful step to come to Jesus? If yes, congratulations but if no, activities/what you're doing notwithstanding, you can never be like Jesus since you don't have the same nature with Him. No amount of training can turn a lizard to a crocodile. Think and take the appropriate steps and it shall be well with you.
