THE ONE GOAL 3
"But all of us are like people who have no cloth over our faces. Like mirrors, we shine with God’s bright light. And he is changing us so that we become more and more like him. We become brighter and brighter as the Lord’s Spirit changes us." 2Cor.3:18 EasyEnglish version.
Every human babies have every capacity that makes humans humans; ability to reason and to talk is human. But whether they will use those capacities acceptably in whichever society they're born depends on whether they choose to cooperate with the elders of those societies to learn the norms and values of the society. Else, they alienate themselves from such societies and with persistence could be cast out.
In the kingdom of our Father, the goal is to have all of the children like Jesus and that informed/birthed the culture of the kingdom. Though at birth we all have the capacity to be exactly like Jesus due to the new nature birthed into us by the Spirit but we must consciously, deliberately and willingly choose to learn and live by the norms and values of the kingdom to be exactly like Jesus. It is not impossible, we can do it because we have the capacity to achieve it in the new nature we possess and we also have supply of grace.
Do we see ourselves far from being like Jesus comrades? Don't let us be discouraged, let's keep submitting to the leadings of the Holy Spirit and we shall get there.
